Summer 2006: Nature Odyssey! An Amazing Journey into the Valles Caldera National Preserve

• PEEC staff held this summer camp program for grades 4th-8th using SAHRA created field kits and guides
• Students collected water and vegetation data while exploring the environment

Future Needs & Plans

• Ongoing needs for public programs for visitors of all ages
• Desire for programs based on the “Science of the Valles”, SAHRA data, and additional maps and data sets from multiple researchers engaged in work at the VCNP
• Visitor Center as potential place for hands-on, informal science and natural history discovery
