Macro Theme Area: River Systems [Project ID: R27]
PI: Steve Stewart
CO-PI(s): N/A
Basin focus: Regional SW
Specific area in
basin /
field sites:
N/A
Summary/Goals:
Develop a set of economic experiments to examine participation in a market-based approach to management of stormwater runoff. The computerized experiment is designed to elicit homeowners' willingness-to-accept compensation to have EPA install stormwater retention devices on individual homeoweners' properties.
Activities and outcomes during past year:
The experimental design has been completed and programming of subject screens require only minor revision. The pilot experiments and demonstration to EPA was conducted in October 2006 in Cincinnati, OH

Plans for the upcoming year:
We plan to pursue additional opportunities to use the software to conduct field experiments for the City of Cincinnati and then pursue other municipalities
