Due to travel restrictions on Mt. Lemmon, the vans
will leave the hotel promptly at 8:00 am

A student-orientated field trip is the focus of the first day. The field trip will take participants on a tour of the fire ravaged Catalina Mountains, where they will visit the 30m flux tower on Mount Bigelow and conclude with a tour of fire-induced flooding and public education displays at Sabino Canyon. The objective of the field trip is for students to build stronger personal and research contacts and to expose them to several interdisciplinary research problems.
