Summary/Goals: TRIF funding is a growing source of support for SAHRA's education and knowledge transfer programs throughout the state of Arizona. 1.25 FTEs based in Phoenix are familiarizing themselves and promoting SAHRA's programs. The office also works to develop media contacts and ties in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Activities and outcomes during past year:
Activities that received support from this project include development of the WSP website, workshops for various stakeholder groups (2007 - emerging pathogens) and ArizonaWater.org (separately listed). Nancy Crocker was hired to staff the program in Maricopa County. E&O also is partiallly funding work at Biosphere 2 to make the site a sustainability showcase.
Plans for the upcoming year:
This program will continue to fund shared staff in Maricopa County, water fairs, legislative events, and other E&O activities.
