The focus topic for SAHRA’s 7th Annual Meeting is “Supporting Regional and International Water Management.” We will share science results from our last seven years of research and solicit input from water management stakeholders in Arizona, New Mexico, and beyond, highlighting our international scientific and outreach activities.
Wednesday, October 10, 2007 – Plenary Day
The first day of SAHRA’s Annual Meeting is traditionally the day when we have greatest participation from outside the Center itself. We will highlight our outreach activities nationally and internationally, in terms of both our specific outreach programs and the stakeholder-relevant understanding and methods that are now emerging from our science activities. Afternoon activities will include breakout sessions to facilitate the exchange of information between SAHRA scientists and stakeholders
Thursday, October 11, 2007 – Investigator/Student Reports
On the second day, the focus is on sharing our most recent results and understanding within SAHRA itself, through short presentations and poster sessions.
Friday, October 12, 2007 – Investigator/Student Planning
The third day is devoted to planning next-stage activities, both Center-wide and within individual macro-themes, with emphasis on planning the SAHRA signature products that will be the focus of our efforts in the next two years.
Saturday, October 13, 2007 – Field Trips
The fourth day will offer an opportunity for participants to visit sites where SAHRA has been and is active. Further information on this field trip will be announced as available.
