Summary/Goals: Consulting for development of a watershed visualization for a 5,000 sq.-ft. traveling science center exhibit, premiering in 2009. The sister project is called Water: H2O=Life and opened Nov. 1 2007 in New York City. It will tour several US and international venues over the next 2 years.
Activities and outcomes during past year:
Due to incomplete funding this project has been delayed in the start up process and there are no outcomes to report for 2006. There have been several meetings, particularly in conjunction with the STC Director's meeting in Sep. but our role is still weakly defined.
2007: Gary shared some Phoenix well basin data with Paul to see if they could create a workable visualization of the change in water table with time. More work needs to be done but funding details are still sketchy.
Plans for the upcoming year:
As funding is identified, meetings and a working group will begin work on this project. SMM is currently trying to coordinate this exhibit with another at the AMNH in New York city.
Organization Involvement:
Major collaborator in developing traveling exhibit. They played a major part in several of the visualizations developed for the AMNH exhibit - Water: H2O=Life
